Dispatcher – Full Time Position at Altom Transport

Core Responsibilities:

• Coordinate and manage the scheduling of our tanker fleet, ensuring timely and efficient delivery services.
• Act as a primary communication liaison between drivers, customers, and internal teams.
• Monitor driver routes and provide real-time solutions to logistical challenges.
• Ensure compliance with company policies and transportation regulations.
• Maintain accurate records of all dispatch activities, including tracking of delivery status and documentation.

Requirements:

• Proven experience as a dispatcher in the transportation or logistics industry.
• Strong geographic knowledge, especially of the Chicago area and surrounding regions.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact with a diverse group of individuals.
• Proficiency in dispatch software and strong computer skills.
• Ability to multitask and make decisions in a fast-paced environment.
• Flexibility with work hours, ready to step in during various shifts as needed.
• A commitment to safety and a clean driving record.

• 23 years of age
• Meet all DOT Requirements
• Good Driving Record
• Pass a Strength & Agility Test
• 1-year valid tank/iso driving experience

REQUIREMENTS:

• Class A Commercial Driver License with Hazmat/Tanker Endorsement
• TWIC Card
• Minimum 1 year verifiable ISO/Flexi-Bag or Tanker Experience
• Clean Driving Record and Criminal Background
• Late Model Equipment able to pass Altom Inspection
